How to Remove T Post
If you are looking for methods to remove your T posts quickly, I am here to tell you.
One is to use your post driver. Set the top of your driver onto the ground and put the open edge against the studs on the post. Step on the driver to hold it in place, then pull the posts towards you with all your strength. In this process, the driver acts as a leaver and can help you pull out the post easily.
Another efficient method is to use a T post puller. Place your JACKWIN post puller beside the posts you are going to remove. Put the puller’s hook underneath the studs of the T post and push the arm down to lift the post upward. Repeat this process until the post is pulled out successfully.

T Post vs U Post

T Post: With a T-shaped cross-section, T posts are commonly used to support heavy safety fences, barrier mesh or barbed wire. Made of heavier steel, JACKWIN T posts are designed with studs(nubs) to hold wire and clips, fitting for farm, heavy fences or livestock areas. T posts are built to support high load and tension, such as the pressure from animals and strong winds.
U Post: With a U-shaped cross-section, U posts are shorter and lighter for signboards, small gardens, playgrounds and lighter fences. U posts are designed with pre-built holes, making it easy to attach mesh or panels. Our U-shaped posts are more suitable for soft soil or garden ground, where you can organize DIY projects.

Applications
JACKWIN T-posts are suitable for supporting a wide variety of fences and are commonly used in construction sites, livestock areas, gardens, farms, and residential areas.

JACKWIN T-posts are commonly used to construct grape trellises or netting systems to promote better plant growth.

In livestock areas, our T-posts can be combined with wire mesh to construct cattle or horse fencing to prevent animals from escaping the enclosure.

T-shaped posts offer an ideal solution for construction sites where quick installation of safety fences and temporary barriers is required.

Using T-posts, you can build fences in residential areas or on private property to prevent unauthorized access and protect your property.

For large farms that require property boundary lines, use JACKWIN to build highly visible fences to protect your crops.

Testimonials
Place the curved part of the clip at the intersection of the fence wire and the T-post. Use pliers or a wire bender to wrap both ends of the clips around the wire, and then trim or bend the sharp ends flat to prevent injury.
Standard fence posts are typically spaced 8-12 feet apart, but for heavy-duty fences used for livestock or pastures, the ideal spacing is generally 8-10 feet. For posts of lightweight fences or temporary barriers, a spacing of 10-12 feet is more suitable.
JACKWIN offers high-quality and affordable T-posts, typically priced at around $5 per post for wholesale orders. If you need other items, please send us an inquiry for more information.
Place the base of the puller tightly against the T-post (if the ground is soft, you can place a wooden board under the base), then position the slot hooks under the studs of the T-post. Grasp the handle and press downwards until the T-posts are completely removed.
Typically, 4-5 clips are needed for each T-post when installing a fence. For heavy-duty fences used for livestock or horses, you can increase the number of clips to make the fence more secure.
To ensure the stability of the fence, at least one-third of the T-post length needs to be buried underground. A 6-foot-long T-post should be buried at least 2-3 feet deep. In areas with loose soil or strong winds, you will need to bury them even deeper to ensure stability.
T-posts and U-posts have different uses. If you need posts for heavy-duty fencing, T-posts are the best option, as they are more durable and stronger. If you only need posts for temporary or lightweight fencing, I recommend U-posts to you.
T-shaped posts have a cross-section that resembles the letter T and are commonly used to support fences, providing stability to the fence structure.
Typically, at least one-third of the fence post should be buried underground to ensure the fence’s stability. If you want to install a 6-foot fence, T-posts that are approximately 9 feet tall are your best option.
Most T-posts have a standard height of 5-10 feet; you will need to choose the appropriate post based on the height of your fence.
It depends. For livestock or field fences, a 100ft fence requires approximately 12-14 posts, while a 100ft barbed wire fence requires 10-12 posts. A 100ft garden fence or welded wire fence requires 14-18 posts.
