What Does Red Barricade Tape Mean?
JACKWIN are often asked about the meaning of red barrier tape. Here is a brief summary on what the different colors of barricade tapes stand for.
Red & White Tape: means “DANGER” that may cause life-threatening injuries. With a strong “STOP” message, it often occurs in fire scenes, electrical hazards, chemical spills or emergency scenes.
Black & White Tape: used for logistical marking such as house keeping, aisle marking and traffic control.
Purple/Pink & Yellow Tape: specialized color combination standing for “RADIATION HAZARD” such as X-ray rooms or areas with radioactive materials.

Barricade Tapes Production
Compliant to OSHA, ANSI Z535 and EN ISO 7010 standard and certification, every process of JACKWIN’s barricade tape manufacturing is strictly controlled.
JACKWIN uses premium LDPE granules as our raw material. By adding additives such as color masterbatch, UV stabilizers, slip agent and antiblock agent, our barricade tapes are bright-coloured, UV-resistant and wear-resistant.
The LDPE granules are loaded into a hopper and the rotating extruder barrel heats and melts the pallets into molten plastic, which passes through screen packs to remove dirts and contaminants.
The melted plastic passes through a circular gap and is blown upwards by an air ring creating a bubble. The cooled bubble is flattened by rollers and a tubular film forms.
The whole roll of JACKWIN barricade tape is printed with text or pattern such as “CAUTION”, ”DANGER”, “POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS” through flexographic printing.
The printed tape roll is cut into dozens of narrow strips of a certain width by a blade, and each narrow strip is rolled into a tube with a certain length.
Each of JACKWIN barricade rolls is well packaged in a carton and ready for shipment.
