What Is A Convex Mirror?
JACKWIN convex mirror is a curved or spherical mirror, also known as a wide-angle mirror or a reflective mirror. Our mirror surface is convex, and according to the optical principle, a convex mirror has a divergent effect on light. Also, according to the flat mirror imaging principle, the image is proportional to the object, because when the distance between the object and the convex mirror increases, the image becomes more extensive. When the distance decreases, the image becomes shorter. Therefore, it is used in traffic safety, car rearview mirrors and reversing mirrors, supermarket anti-theft, and monitoring blind spots to expand the field of vision of drivers and people, thereby ensuring safety.

Convex Mirror Installation Guide
The installation of convex mirrors is very simple. Please follow JACKWIN’s instructions on how to fix your convex mirrors.
Before installation, you need to understand how convex mirrors work. It is based on the principle of magnified imaging, which magnifies our viewing field. Therefore, the installation position and height of the convex mirror are particularly important, which determines the practical use effect of the convex mirror.
Step 1, determine the installation position and height.
Step 2, if it is installed on the wall, drill holes; if it is installed on the post, dig holes and embed the post.
Step 3, fix the convex mirror brackets on the wall or posts, and pay attention to adjusting the suitable height, direction, and angle.

Concave Mirrors VS Convex Mirrors

Concave and convex mirrors operate on opposite optical principles, leading to entirely distinct applications. Their key differences are as follows:
Concave Mirror: Has an inward-curving reflective surface that converges light, often employed in focusing light and illumination devices, such as searchlights and vehicle headlights.
Convex Mirror: Features an outward-curving reflective surface that diverges light, commonly used to broaden the field of view and for surveillance purposes.
Convex Mirrior Applications
JACKWIN convex mirrors are widely used and can be generally divided into the following categories: browse to learn more.

Used for intersections, sharp bends, and school zones in broadening drivers’ horizons, and improving safety.

Used for loading docks and machinery operation areas to improve workers’ safety when operating on-site.

Used for underground parking and shopping mall to monitor traffic flow and anti-theft.
