JACKWIN Raw Materials
JACKWIN’s road safety products mainly use plastics, rubber, and metals, including PVC, PE, PP, PS, ABS, PC, EVA, TPU, rubber, and metal/plastic sheets and pipes. We display various primary raw materials to help you better understand our products. We also ensure that all materials we use are 100% virgin.
Material Basics
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a durable, strong, fire-resistant thermal resin that can be rigid or flexible, and can adjust its hardness or softness through additives. Given this feature, we use polyvinyl chloride to produce our Verkehrskegel, delineator posts, barricades, and cable ramp covers.
Polyethylene (PE)
Polyethylene (PE) is a lightweight thermoplastic resin made from the polymerization of ethylene. It has low-temperature resistance, chemical resistance (acid and alkali resistance), low density, good stretchability, and flexibility. PE is also divided into HDPE and LDPE, which have different densities and hardness. Due to these characteristics, it is widely used in road traffic safety products. For example, road cones, delineators, water-filled barriers, plastic road barriers, Kunststoffketten, trench covers, traffic panels, Warnbänder, and plastic orange meshes.
Polypropylene (PP)
Polypropylene (PP) is a stress-resistant, low-density thermoplastic that is lightweight, chemically resistant, rigid, and stable. Use our solar warning light housing base, pop-up cone base, etc.
Polystyrene (PS)
Polystyrene (PS) is a naturally transparent solid hard plastic that has excellent light transmittance and reflection. So we use it to produce a warning light lens.
Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)
Thermoplastic Polyurethane is a plastic between rubber and plastic, but its surface is very smooth, flexible, and elastic. It is also resistant to oil, grease, lubricants, and low temperatures. Based on these characteristics, we use them to produce delineator posts, raised pavement markers, lane separators, and other products that can bounce back quickly after being rolled by wheels. It is durable and has very good performance. However, its price is slightly higher than other plastics, but it is the first material choice for delineator posts.
Acrylonitrile butadiene (ABS)
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene is commonly known as engineering plastics. It has a smooth surface, high hardness, high strength, is not easy to break, is resistant to various acids and alkalis, has relatively low thermal conductivity, and has a high density. Based on this feature, we use it to produce the shell of the warning light. It is durable on the construction site, resistant to falling, and not easy to break. It is the first choice for mid-to-high-end Barrikadenlichter.
Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA)
Ethylene-vinyl acetate is a lightweight and tough thermal polymer with similar properties to foam. It is inexpensive and is used to produce economical spring posts, corner protectors, and other anti-collision safety products.
Rubber
What we use is vulcanized rubber, which has more elasticity and strength. Our rubber cable protectors, speed bumps, wheel stoppers, wall corner protectors, and rubber bases of various product counterweights are all made of vulcanized rubber.
Rigid PVC Sheet
Rigid PVC sheet is produced by extrusion processing of thermoplastic resin PVC. It has high strength, good flame retardancy, hardness, high impact strength and widely used for JACKWIN safety signs, parking signs Und vertical panels.
PP Corrugated Sheet
PP Corrugated Sheet is produced by extruding thermoplastic polypropylene resin. It is a twin-wall and hollow plastic sheet with good chemical resistance and impact resistance. It is used by JACKWIN for temporary safety signs and warning signs.
6061 Aluminium Sheet
6061 Aluminum Sheet is a plate made of 6061 aluminum alloy after a series of production processes such as rolling, extruding, or forging. It is composed of aluminum (97.9 %), magnesium (1.0 %), silicon (0.6 %), copper (0.28 %), and chromium (0.2 %). At JACKWIN, we use it for the production of traffic signs, safety signs, parking signs, control boxes, and LED sign frames.
Galvanized Steel Pipe
Galvanized steel pipe is a steel tube made by heating A36 hot rolled steel or mild steel slabs and rolling them into pipes, then welding the gaps and hot-dip galvanizing. It is not easy to rust and is used by JACKWIN in the production of Absperrungen zur Kontrolle von Menschenmengen.
