Flood Panel Installation
JACKWIN direct-mount flood panels are generally installed on the outside of doors, openings, windows and garages with star-shaped turn knobs.
During installation, ensure the panel covers both sides of the opening and the bottom sealing strip is flush against the wall and floor.
Mark the drilling locations on the wall using the pre-drilled holes on the panel’s aluminum frame and drill the holes.
Use bolts to secure the bottom aluminum footer extrusion to the floor or threshold below.
Secure the panel to the wall using star-shaped turn knobs.
Innovative HDPE gaskets on one side, back, and bottom of the panels form a watertight seal.
If door handles or other obstructions exist during installation, a box-shaped or U-shaped panel can be used for easier installation.
Support legs can be used if necessary to provide additional stability.
How JACKWIN Aluminum Flood Panel System Work?
JACKWIN aluminum flood barriers use a series of aluminum logs which are installed into slots of the posts on both sides of the openings.
Rubber EPDM seals are designed on the bottom of planks and inside of support posts, which helps to create a watertight seal against water infiltration.
After installation, tighten the bolts and locking brackets to press the barrier firmly in place, thereby enhancing its flood and impact resistance.
As floodwaters rise, both hydrodynamic and hydrostatic pressures increase, pressing the aluminum logs tightly against one another and enhancing the sealing effect.

1. Hydrostatic Pressure Test
A water-retention area is created using the flood panels, and the water depth is progressively increased. The test evaluates whether the flood panels can withstand the water pressure and whether any leakage occurs under that pressure.
