Features & Advantages
JACKWIN solar traffic lights are energy-efficient LED lights powered by solar energy and rechargeable batteries, providing a sustainable and environmentally friendly signalling system. They offer numerous advantages and features for use in road traffic and engineering projects, as detailed below:

Featuring high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar panels, high-capacity rechargeable batteries and energy-efficient, high-brightness LED chips, these lights offer greater longevity and are 70% more energy-efficient than traditional traffic lights.

Our light housing is manufactured from aluminium alloy or ABS engineering plastic, and incorporates high-quality PCBs. It can withstand temperatures ranging from 80°C to -50°C, ensuring a service life of up to 15 years when used outdoors.

Our solar traffic lights are available with a range of signal head sizes to choose from, including 100mm diameter units for construction sites, 200mm units for rural roads, and 300mm and 400mm units for motorways and streets.

We can accommodate requests regarding the dimensions of the light head, the height of the stand, and the positioning of the solar panel. We have existing designs for you to choose from, and we can also provide a bespoke service based on your specifications.

Our solar traffic lights feature a modular, split-type installation design that requires no manual wiring. With plug-and-play connectors, they are quick and easy to install, and no specialist personnel are required.

Our solar traffic lights utilise high-brightness LED chips and lenses made from PC material, all imported from Taiwan, resulting in superior light penetration, greater brightness and a wider field of view.

We utilise solar energy as our power source, which causes no air pollution or emissions and complies with international carbon neutrality policies. Furthermore, we use RoHS-certified materials.

Our solar traffic lights feature an IP65 waterproof rating, ensuring high levels of protection; the LEDs and circuit boards will remain in good working order for over ten years without deteriorating.

JACKWIN solar-powered traffic lights provide a sustainable solution for traffic management in the event of power cuts, reducing carbon emissions and lowering energy and maintenance costs. They enable the rapid, wireless deployment of traffic lights in remote, temporary or disaster-stricken areas, ensuring unimpeded traffic flow and enhancing safety.
Solar Traffic Light Circuit Diagram
JACKWIN specialises in the design and manufacture of solar traffic lights. Below, we provide a brief explanation of the circuit diagram for our solar traffic lights to help you better understand how they work. This will enable you to resolve issues more effectively when installing, maintaining or troubleshooting your solar traffic lights.
1) A steady red light indicates that the unit is charging; a flashing red light indicates that the battery is fully charged; a steady yellow light indicates that the battery is low and the unit is about to cease functioning.
2) Generally, if the solar panel fails to charge, this is typically indicated by abnormal voltage or current levels. We need to check whether the solder joints at the connection points have come loose.
3) The battery is prone to short-circuiting if it comes into contact with water, which can cause voltage instability.
4) Check for broken connections in the wiring, such as worn insulation, open circuits or short circuits.

Solar Traffic Light Project
JACKWIN is a manufacturer and solution provider of solar traffic lights; we have provided system solutions for traffic management and traffic control for projects in many countries and regions around the world.
Our solar traffic light projects are designed to utilise monocrystalline silicon solar panels, rechargeable batteries and LED bulbs to form a complete off-grid traffic signal control system. The key advantage of this system is that it harnesses solar energy to provide a sustainable power supply, ensuring that traffic lights continue to operate in remote mountainous areas without grid access or at construction sites where electricity is in short supply.

Applications
Our solar-powered traffic lights are primarily used in remote areas or road maintenance worksites to provide sustainable, off-grid signal control and management, thereby enhancing road safety and reducing carbon emissions. They are ideally suited for areas with unstable or non-existent grid connections.
Our solar-powered traffic lights are primarily intended for target customer groups such as government transport departments, road construction companies, schools and local communities, car park operators and business parks, and infrastructure investment companies.
Below are specific application scenarios and photos from our project sites.

Our solar-powered traffic lights are currently widely used at intersections on less busy roads to provide temporary traffic control and guidance.

Our solar traffic lights are primarily used at pedestrian crossings in rural or residential areas to provide temporary traffic control and improve road safety.

As portable and temporary solar lights, our solar traffic lights provide temporary traffic control for road construction work zones, requiring no connection to the mains supply and offering a cost-effective solution.
Our Project Case Studies
JACKWIN solar-powered traffic lights are currently widely used in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and other countries for temporary traffic control and management systems.
Please review the following project cases across various countries.

Our solar-powered traffic lights have been sold to numerous Australian rental companies, which lease them to local construction firms, event organisers and government departments. For these organisations, this represents an excellent investment offering low upfront costs and high returns. The main markets in Australia include major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.

JACKWIN solar traffic lights are extremely popular in many African countries. Their excellent value for money is the key selling point of our solar traffic lights: they are affordable yet of very high quality, and are highly favoured by African customers, such as those in Nigeria. In Nigeria, where the electricity grid is underdeveloped and power cuts are frequent, traffic lights often fail to function properly.

JACKWIN solar traffic lights strictly comply with MUTCD and NAMA standards. Furthermore, they are rated to an IP65 rating or higher for water and dust resistance. In the United States, they are used by many of our customers on temporary construction sites, remote or rural roads, school zones and neighbourhood crossings, commercial car parks, and urban smart transport demonstration projects.

JACKWIN solar traffic lights are widely used in the European market by government transport authorities, road construction companies and schools. Our solar traffic lights comply with the EN 12368, EN 50556, EN 60068 and RoHS standards. Recently, in Germany, our solar traffic lights have been deployed by the local transport authority for traffic signal control on residential streets.

The benefits of using solar-powered traffic signals are as follows:
1) In off-grid or remote areas, they provide a continuous power supply and can operate without the need for a mains grid.
2) They are portable, require no wiring, and can be installed and put into operation quickly.
3) They are environmentally friendly, as solar energy is a clean energy source that reduces environmental pollution.
4) They are energy-efficient, as they do not consume electricity, thereby reducing urban energy consumption and saving costs.
5) Low maintenance costs; no specialist maintenance is required, resulting in low labour costs.
Marking a solar traffic light requires some knowledge of circuits and technical skills, as well as components such as a solar panel, a 12V battery, a solar charge controller and a timer. For the specific steps, please refer to the video below:
Solar traffic lights work by using photovoltaic panels to absorb solar energy, converting it into electricity, which is then stored in a battery to provide a continuous power supply to the LED traffic lights. The entire process requires no connection to the mains or any wiring.
The price of solar traffic lights varies depending on the model, ranging from US$200 to US$3,000. They come in small single-module versions, as well as medium and large trailer-mounted models, with prices differing accordingly; however, installation costs are virtually zero as they are portable.
JACKWIN is a manufacturer that combines production, sales and solution provision, offering solutions for urban projects to clients worldwide.
