Underground Warning Tape Types
JACKWIN underground warning tapes come in two types: non-detectable and detectable. What is the difference between them? Let me explain.
The only difference is whether the #316 stainless steel wire is added.
Non-detectable warning tape is just HDPE warning tape, usually 150mm wide, 0.1 to 0.15mm thick, and 200 to 500 meters long. The printed texture is the name of the underground facility, such as cable, optic fiber, pipeline, gas line, sewer, etc.
Detectable warning tape, in addition to the same printing as above, has one or two #316 stainless steel wires on the back, the diameter of the stainless steel wire is 0.43mm, and the double steel wire is placed in parallel straight lines and wavy shapes. The steel wire needs to be glued to the back of the HDPE tape with OPP transparent tape.

Wire Detectable Warning Tape VS Aluminum Foil Warning Tape
Wire underground detectable warning tapes using #316 0.43mm diameter stainless steel wire as the detection metal. The polypropylene film is printed, and the backing is with OPP adhesive tape; the three are processed together.
Aluminum foil underground detectable warning tapes are made of 5-mil polypropylene film with a laminated aluminum backing. Aluminum foil is used as the detection metal for detection devices.
Their functions and durability are the same, but the materials are not the same, so when you choose, you can choose the type you can accept based on price comparison.

Warning Tapes Production
We strictly follow ISO9001 and BS EN12613 standards in producing warning tapes, with a thickness of 0.001mm and a tolerance of +/-0.005mm. We also use solid print molds with bright colors.
Warning tape extruder first heats and melts the plastic pellets to produce large rolls of film.
Secondly, the whole roll of large warning tape is printed with text or patterns, and after cooling, it is reeled through a traction machine.
Then, the large roll of warning tape is cut into small rolls on the machine, and the production is completed.
Finally, inspection and packaging, testing content, thickness, printing, and size are included.
